HOW IS THE MODERN PERIODIC TABLE ORGANIZED?
The periodic table has changed drastically over the last couple of centuries. Over the years, we've added in the elements that Mendeleev predicted were missing and created different concepts of organization. The modern periodic table is no longer arranged solely by atomic number but categorized so that the elements fit into various groups, periods, and orbitals. Accompanying these new ideas are the multiple chemical and physical properties associated with them.
